A clear path from curious to decided
Here is exactly what happens when you book a fit call, what we do after it, and how long people usually take. Spoiler: as long as they need.
The fit call
It starts with a conversation, not a form full of brand names. We'll ask about your background, what you can put in, the role you want to play in a business, and the life you're building toward. You'll ask us whatever you like.
By the end, one of three things is true. Franchising fits and we have a direction worth exploring. Franchising fits but the timing doesn't, and you know what would need to change. Or franchising isn't the right vehicle for you, and you've saved yourself months.
All three are good outcomes. We'll tell you which one we're seeing, plainly.

What happens after
If there's a direction worth exploring, this is the arc. Every stage moves at your pace.
-
1
First
A written summary
After the call you get a short note: what we heard, what we'd rule out and why, and what we'd look at next. If it doesn't sound like you, tell us. That's useful too.
-
2
Then
Ruling things out
Money, skills, role, and lifestyle narrow the field fast. Owner-operator or semi-absentee? Field work or desk work? One unit or several? Most of franchising falls away here, on purpose, before any brand is named.
-
3
Next
A short list
A handful of franchises, with the reasoning behind each one. You'll often see categories you hadn't considered. You choose which ones to explore, and which to drop.
-
4
After that
Real conversations
Introductions to the people who run each brand and, more importantly, the people who own units. We coach you through the Franchise Disclosure Document, what to ask current owners, how to read a territory, and how funding usually works.
-
5
Later
Discovery day and a decision
You visit the brand, meet the leadership, and get your last questions answered. Then you decide: yes, no, or not yet. We'll give you our honest read, and we'll respect whichever you choose.
-

Ongoing
Still here afterwards
If you sign, we stay available through launch. If you don't, the door stays open. People come back a year later all the time, and that's fine.

How we're paid, in plain language
Franchise consultants are paid by franchisors, not by the people they advise. If you sign a franchise agreement with a brand we introduced, that brand pays us a referral fee out of its own marketing budget. The franchise fee you pay is the same whether or not we were involved.
Because of that, we say it on the first call, we tell you when a brand we recommend is one we have a relationship with, and we recommend on fit, never on fee. And we're comfortable saying "not this, not now," because the alternative is watching you find out the expensive way.
What you can hold us to
- We explain how we're paid before anything else
- We recommend on fit, never on fee
- We tell you to get a franchise attorney and an accountant
- No pressure, no manufactured deadlines
- We say "this isn't for you" when it isn't
